Biorhythm of sleep is one of time patterns and cycles crucial for our body to keep a good health. Trouble sleeping can have wide-ranging, negative effects, thus be dangerous. To help us from sleepless nights we have a cheap, no habit-forming instrument: music. We may opt for music that blends into our sleeping environment and calms our mind. Music can evoke calming mental images and emotions soothing us. If we feel calmer when we’re enjoying music, we are experiencing some of the biological changes that our body undergoes when we’re falling asleep. Heart rate and breathing slow down, blood pressure lowers and even muscles are triggered to relax. This makes music a good preparation for a restorative slumber. Once we integrate music into our bedtime routine, we just have to stick with it to keep the positive sleep effects built over time.
